MLP Warriors Release!

Heyooo! Hello there, people. It's been some time.
I don't have much to say, though! What I'm bringing you today is something small I came up with.

So, a few days ago I got in the mood of programming a simple idea. Basically, a minimalistic text-based 'RPG-like' battle, where you create a character and fight against other (AI) warriors. As simple as that.

So, I started doing it just for the fun of it, and then I realized, "Hey! If I think this is fun, maybe there's somebody else out there who could enjoy it as well", and so I wrapped it up and uploaded it. So, if you think you could enjoy it, go ahead and download it! It's in the Games & Contact section of the blog.

Nightfall's 'Evil Enchantress' Update!

Well hello there! Nice to talk to you all once again. Guess what? I've been working a little bit more on Nightfall this last week or so, and I'm glad to bring you guys an update!

I actually updated the game a few times since the Sixth Beta Release, but those were small updates so I didn't announce them or anything.
Some of you realized it though, and downloaded them! Good for you!

But anyway, join me on the magical journey to the changelog, below the break!

Whaa?! Nightfall's Sixth Beta Release!

What is this madness?! Yep, guess what! Nightfall is back!

Good day, guys. How have you been doing? I've been through a lot of stuff lately, actually, but I'm glad to be here one more time. A few weeks ago, I got into the mood of programming a short and simple game-- but I couldn't decide what to do. Many ideas came and went, but I didn't like any of them enough to get to it.

Then Nightfall crossed my mind, and I took some days to think about it. The development of my other project was currently paused for a few reasons, and even though Nightfall is a coding mess, I felt it could be nice to jump on its development once again. I mean, after all the effort I put into it before, anyway~ I thought it would be nice to keep going a little more. Besides, you guys seemed to want more! And so, I got into it. Fun!

Now, that being said, I'm not sure when (or if at all) I'll be working on this again. This was a fun update, but I'm exhausted for now. The project is not 'discontinued' anymore, but I won't guarantee more updates either. We'll see in the future, but for now this will do!

Nightfall's last update

Some bad news for y'all tonight, guys.

Due to a bunch of reasons (being one of them the recent start of another, much bigger project), I'm sorry to say that SMG's Nightfall is, from now on, discontinued.

Now, don't be sad. It was fun while it lasted, and although I've decided to move on, it is not in a bad way. Nightfall was a very interesting project, and I had a lot of fun with it. I really appreciate all the support you guys gave me as well, and I welcome you all to keep playing the game as long as you find it fun; I know I will!

So anyway, I have a small, last update for you guys. It's not much, but it's my way to close this project up, at least for now (after all, who knows what the future may bring, right?). I hope you enjoy it, and my best wishes to you all!

No more pony games from Jach

well then, it's been a while.

honestly over the last year in particular my interest in the show and the MLP fandom as a whole has really burnt out. it was bound to happen eventually.
I haven't been working on any pony games in the slightest since luna's letter, and i'm actually in fact now working on a commercial game. moving up in the world as it seems.
now my main goal is to work on serious games that i can use to (hopefully) get a job in the industry. and of course pony games don't really help much in that respect.

so, long story short, there won't be any more pony fandom games coming from me. now, one important thing to sort out was the game 'No Guns in Canterlot' (the pony FPS game) which seemed to have quite a bit of attention. sadly i just don't have the motivation nor time to finish that game at a satisfactory point. if i was to finish it now, it would only be rushed.

because of this i decided to let someone i know have a go at the game and take over the project. hopefully they can give the game more attention than i could have.
that person is: Dreadmaster231 http://dreadmaster231.deviantart.com/his team is called "Gunny Games Corner" and the game's future is up to him now.
his tumblr can be found here: ggcp-on.tumblr.com/

and now this marks my last connection with any pony games.
one thing i might do though is release all of the source files for every single MLP game i've made.
but that will be at a later date.

so good luck to gunny games, hopefully they do a better job with the game than i did.

if you want to know about the future non-pony games i'm making the keep an eye on my deviantArt: http://jach-marsdonpony.deviantart.com/

Nightfall's Twily update!

Sup, guys!
Like I always do, I have a few post-release updates for those of you who follow the blog.

It's not much, but the changes are cool! Including:

- Wider building range.
- Twilight can now teleport from the beginning.
- Structures can now be bought/sold in tens.

As always, the game can be downloaded from the list. Anyway, thanks for playing, and have a great day!

Nightfall's Fifth Beta! (Trixie approves!)

Sup, guys!

So, it's been two months, and I'm glad to bring you a whole new Nightfall beta!
I've been working hard on some cool new features, bug fixes, rebalancing and stuff, and it's awesome to see the game grow so much step by step, always closer to the final version. Thank you all very much for your support!
